What to Expect
For after-hours emergency dental care, the patient should call Imperial Oaks Dental Care and leave a message with our answering service. Our dentists (or another qualified dentist, if our dentists are not reachable) is called and the patient’s information and number is given to our dentists, who will reach out to the patient. Typically emergencies can be taken care of with a prescription called in to a pharmacy and the patient is scheduled to visit Imperial Oaks Dental Care first thing in the morning. If the patient has a major emergency of uncontrolled bleeding, intense pain, and/or signs of an infection (swelling and fever, our dentists will typically refer the patient immediately to the nearest emergency room if it is after hours.
Our dentists will typically schedule a follow-up appointment to assess the patient’s progress or to finish the needed procedures. Our dentists will discuss with each patient about specific care instructions that should be followed exactly for maximum relief. Patients should continue to schedule annual dental exams and bi-annual dental cleanings at Imperial Oaks Dental Care so our dentists can find and treat any future problems that may require emergency care.
