About Teeth Aligners
Quite a few individuals didn't need or weren't able to get braces as a child, but they may still have some spacing or crowding issues that prevent them from having a straight, beautiful smile. Invisible teeth aligners are custom made covers for the teeth manufactured with clear plastic or acrylic material that gently moves teeth into their proper position. Using a series of aligners over 1 - 2 years, clear teeth aligners can correct mild to moderate crowded teeth and spacing problems for straighter, healthier teeth. This type of orthodontics are often preferred by patients over traditional metal braces since they are hardly noticed and can be taken out for eating, brushing, and flossing. Our dentists at Imperial Oaks Dental Care in Spring, TX can go over teeth straightening options, such as clear teeth aligners during regular dental exams.
"I recently had my teeth cleaned at Imperial Oaks and I can honestly say that it was one of the best dental experiences I've had in a while. The hygienist, Pamelia, was very thorough in her explanation of the my options, each process, and after-care. She was very professional and made sure that I was comfortable."- T.K. / Yelp / Oct 09, 2019
"Generally I go to Fairfield Dental Care and Orthodontics to see Dr. Ng for my braces, I needed an emergency appointment to fix my broken bracket and Dr. Ng was at this location for the day. Without hesitation, they told me to come in right away and they will work me into the schedule to be seen. They were very busy but I was there for no more than 35 minutes, as a last minute emergency appointment. Amazing staff, clean environment and I couldn’t have been more thankful that they allowed me to come in."- S. / Google / Jul 24, 2019

What to Expect
Every set of clear aligners are custom made depending on the patient's current teeth position. Each set of aligners are created based on digital X-rays, physical impressions, and photos. The individual will be provided several sets of aligners at their orthodontic visit and our dentists will check to see that the first set fits properly so that adjustments can be made. Our patients should wear the trays as often as possible. The aligners should be taken out for eating and brushing. After several weeks, new aligners will be given during a fast appointment at Imperial Oaks Dental Care.
The amount of time that a patient wears each set of aligners varies based on the specific needs of each person. The number of trays needed is typically discussed by our dentists during the consultation. The trays will be worn consistently until the teeth are in proper alignment. Evaluations at Imperial Oaks Dental Care will be provided at each appointment so that the progress can be measured. Our dentists will help patients so they are kept informed of the ongoing progression. Once the teeth are straight, a retainer will be placed on the teeth for lasting results.
Based upon the patient's dental insurance benefits, a portion of the clear teeth aligners may be covered. Our front desk staff at Imperial Oaks Dental Care will talk to the patient's dental insurance provider to determine their benefits and give a better estimate of the patient's out-of-pocket fees. Individuals who do not have dental insurance for teeth straightening treatment, may consider Imperial Oaks Dental Care's various payment plans.
